Are you like me and get excited because Halloween is coming up! I think I enjoy this holiday more then when I was a kid! Well… Now that I think of it… Probably not! I almost forgot about the enormous bag of treats I used to bring back home and indulge on for a month :) I am not going to lie, even though I don’t go trick or treating anymore, every October I buy a box of those mixed mini chocolates (my favourite is Mars)! Just to put myself in the Halloween spirit ;) What I look forward to the most is dressing up! Getting creative with the costume and the makeup is the exciting part, followed by the party of course! This year I will be attending the Yelloween party hosted by Veuve Clicquot at Auberge Saint-Gabriel in the Old Port of Montreal, where we will be received in the House of Dracula. Dom! Dom! Dom! It will be fun to mingle and dance with Frankenstein and zombies! I am hesitating about which costume to wear though… A vampire or a gothic witch? I know it might sound predictable but I think I can work it my way and make it cool ;) I am up for the challenge! Which one do you think I should go for?
In the mean time, I still have to go to work and wear normal clothes :) And the look I am posting today is all about autumnal feel! This season, my go to colors whether it’s clothes or makeup are different shades of browns: from cream, to latte, to dark chocolate. By the way… That’s actually what I am having as I am writing this :) I find these earthy tones bring warmth, which is much needed on a chilly fall day! The rib-knit skirt is the main focus in this look. Not only because of the rich brick color but also because of the curves it creates. I paired it with different shades of beige to keep the emphasis on it. The knit sweater is a must simply because it keeps me warm and has a cozy sense to it. The trench coat that you have already seen in past spring posts has made a comeback! I believe it goes with almost everything because of its neutral colour and its classic cut. And, I wore it open for a casual finish. For the bag, I chose a simple beige clutch with a pop of burgundy to match the skirt and boots. How do you like the boots? I personally love the intricate mix of leather straps and the wrapping effect they bring. Not to mention the peep-toe! What can I say… My toes are not ready for the cold weather yet ;)
Have a great Halloween week everyone!
