It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! It doesn’t really look like it yet… This is why I am secretly wishing for snow! Shhh… There is nothing more magical than waking up on a white Christmas Day! Sipping on hot coffee or coco in your pj’s, surrounded by loved ones, watching holiday movies while the snow is falling outside :) I am a sucker for Christmas and I am proud to admit it! The festivities are starting early this year with a housewarming party this weekend with an “Ugly Christmas Sweater and Socks” theme plus a white elephant gift exchange! You can imagine! Can’t wait to show you my final look for the event! Ultimate fashion galore! Not… ;) Looking forward to a fun and hilarious night :) In the mean time, I starting planning the menu for our family’s Christmas dinner. I will be receiving five hungry men and will be more than happy to make sure those bellies are well fed at the end of the night! Food coma will be the diagnosis ;) I am also trying to have all my gift shopping done in time. That’s always a challenge because every year… Every single year… I end up in a shopping center on the 23rd or 24th! Let’s just say I shop too well under pressure! I am trying my best to be more prepared this year…
For a few years now, I have been attending an enchanting event during the Holidays! The Gospel Celebration by the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir! This year, more than thirty vocalists were singing in tandem beautiful Christmas songs, that were highlighted even more by a great live band. My favourite performances were the saxophonist’s solo and the choir chanting “Silent Night”! Pure magic! And this is what I was wearing on that night :) I love mixing fabrics, especially in the winter. I find the rich textures of velvet and leather go hand in hand. This season, velvet is definitely a must! I have always loved that material because of how soft it is and how luxurious it makes you feel! The culottes are one of my favourite picks this shopping season since they are so versatile. I have been wearing them everywhere! I find them the most fit with a simple turtleneck or a tailored shirt and of course high heels. Because this type of trouser can make you look wider, pairing them with high pumps will make negate that effect and make you look leaner and taller. Now, how do you find my new distressed leather jacket? It’s the new addition to my leather family :) I chose color this year! Because leather jackets don’t always have to be black. I believe a deep shade like burgundy can be a great basic. But, the rocker look is my personal choice, for that little extra edge :)
Wishing you all a great weekend!
