Staying up until sunrise having captivating discussions with friends is simply priceless! This weekend was one of my closest friend’s birthday party and to make it more fun she decided to have a costumed one! The theme of the night was 80’s and 90’s inspired celebrities! For those who know me well, you know how much I love to dress-up in costumes! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! What can I say… I am a kid at heart :) I dressed-up as Material Girl Madonna, fishnet tights, ripped denim shorts, poofy hair, fuschia lipstick and all! Go all in or don’t! Right ? It was a great party where I mingled with Tupac, Kriss Kross and Lauren Hill, played guess the 80’s-90’s song titles, laughed my heart out and had one of those always fascinating discussions about men-women relationships! When you put together open-minded young people, that are willing to be honest about their approach and views on relationships, it stimulates quite a discussion! I find it so interesting to compare the views of women and men regarding reasons behind why there are so many single young professional women nowadays, how a man wants a women to approach him or not, why men can sometimes feel threatened by independent women or the importance of sharing your life and making compromises in a couple… Those were a few of the points we chatted about. Now you understand why time flew by and we stayed up until 5h00 am! Simply captivating :)
Spring is the peak season for flirting and new romances flourishing and maybe that’s why the subject of relationships was such a hot topic yesterday! It is also known for warmer weather and flower blooms and the look I am posting today is all about that! On my days off, when I am busy running errands, I just want to leave the house in a comfortable outfit. A summer dress is the perfect item in my wardrobe for days like that. And you definitely should have one in yours! You just put it on, zip it and you are out! What I like about this dress is the way it cinches at the waist and focuses on the smallest area of the body. At the same time the A-line bottom is great for creating that hourglass figure. Now, let’s not forget the flowers! Aren’t this print and the bold colors ideal for a girly and fresh look? And of course, being on the go requires flat shoes! This is why I chose to sport the faux-leather plimsolls. But also because they recall the athletic trend :) As for the bag, nothing is more practical than a Longchamp Le Pliage purse! Don't you agree?
Hope you had a great weekend everyone!
