This week I met up with an incredible photographer that I got to know on Instagram after starting my blog in New York City. We had stayed in touch since my trip to the Big Apple but had never gotten the chance to do a photoshoot together. He is an amazing street photographer (check out his work on https://instagram.com/le_m_martian) and is looking into doing more fashion photography. And, I simply love his vision and picture interpretation of the simplest thing you can find in a city! So it was just a question of time before we worked together! Aside from working with someone so talented, I also got to discover his great personality. His career ambitions and passion for photography are impossible to miss and a guarantee of the huge success awaiting him! I find it so inspiring to get to meet such a driven individual and it pushes me to reach out for my goals and aspirations even more! It was a pure pleasure Marvin and looking forward to more photoshoots with you, whether it’s in NYC, Montreal or anywhere else in the world :)
I can’t wait to show you, in a future post, the photos we took yesterday! But for today, I am posting about a simple but far from boring outfit I sported this week. It all started with this button-down midi dress that I had just gotten. I liked the olive color and the comfortable woven fabric, perfect for my day off! On the hanger, it doesn’t look like much but I find it to be super versatile. You can wear it as a simple summer dress with flip-flops and a floppy hat for a boho style or with cream or brown tone high heels for a classier appeal. I chose to wear it open as a sleeveless vest with a relaxed cotton black cami dress. It looked more urban, which is the feeling I was going for. I coordinated it with my favourite black tights, that give the illusion of wearing over the knee socks and that bring out my inner schoolgirl :) Unfortunately, in Montreal rainy summer days are not rare, which is why I opted for black moccasins. But, I also enjoy their pointy shape and the edgy metallic piece; modern touches to a classic shoe! I went for the same vibe when it came to choosing jewellery, a mix of vintage and chunky contemporary pieces. What do you think of the bag? I personally love the army inspired style and hint of roughness it brings to the sheer and light khaki dress.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
