Almost every summer, I spend a few weeks in my beautiful Lebanon! My brother and I usually go for three to four weeks to see our parents, my sister K and her kids and husband while my sister T joins us from Qatar with hers. It is our annual meeting! Having all the members of my family around the same table, enjoying home cooked meals prepared with love by our mother and having the children running around and playing together is utterly one of the most precious and dear moments in my life! My heart cannot be bigger than at that second! Unfortunately, my brother and I couldn’t make it this year, so this is why my parents came to visit us in Montreal. We were lucky to see, share and cherish quality time with them, at least once this year! But, I am finding it very hard not seeing, hugging, kissing and loving my beloved sisters and their little munchkins… Even though we text and talk regularly, having a part of your heart living thousands of miles away is very tough… I guess this is what happens when you are citizens of the world! You never know where you end up! But, one thing I am certain about is that our bond in unbreakable, no matter how much time or how many miles separate us! I miss you dearly sis!
Even though I am not spending my summer in my homeland this year, I am still very much enjoying my second home: vibrant and eclectic Montreal! When choosing an outfit in the summer, we generally tend to go for dresses, shorts or skirts. But I find a good pair of white linen pants to also be a must! First, the color is perfect during this season, particularly on a hot and sunny day. I like the lightness of the fabric and how breezy it can feel. What I enjoy the most about this BCBG linen pant is the high-waist and the incorporated belt that create a beautiful definition to the waist. Also, I find the structured cut a tad more chic then the common flowy linen pants. For the past year, 70’s inspired elephant bell bottom pants are doing a comeback. By the way I’m so mad my mom didn’t keep her baby blue ones! I would have rocked them this season! So, I had no choice but to get my own :) And, I am loving this style! The butt area is well adjusted and advantages every lady :) The large bottom when worn with a tight top, like in this style, balances the whole outfit and forms a nice hourglass shape! I chose a yellow and white top simply because I found the colors cheerful! With stripes being quite fashionable and to add dimension to the look, I thought they would be a lovely addition. Since I was going for a classier vibe, heels and a clutch were the best options. When wearing palazzo pants, high sandals elongate the legs. It is also the reason why I opted for a nude colour. As for the clutch I chose red, as well as my smile, to stay in the joyful spirit :)
