This week, I had a very interesting meeting with the “BAAM – Brigade Arts Affaires de Montréal”! It’s an organization that aims to stimulate the implication of young professionals in the artistic community of Montreal. One of their initiatives is to offer a public art piece to the city of Montreal for its 375th anniversary, in 2017. My love for Arts & Culture as well as my desire to contribute to Montreal has brought me to be part of the group of a hundred young patrons that will have the chance to choose the final piece of art! Together we raised 100 000$ as contribution for the realization of the project! I am excited to be part of such an eclectic and cultivated group of people, from different spheres of the business world, but mostly to have a significant role contributing to the heritage of my beautiful city! At this meeting we finalized the selection criteria since the contest will be launched to young artists in the upcoming month. I am looking forward to discovering all the innovative concepts, visions and perspectives the artists will present! I’ll keep you posted on how it goes :)
Art isn’t only about paintings and sculptures. Music, opera and ballet are other delightful types of art. And, I find fashion design to be also a creative field! After all, it is an imaginative way to express yourself, which is what it’s all about! The look I am posting today represents the fusion of business affairs and art! I had fun wearing this outfit :) The pencil skirt is a staple piece in career women’s wardrobe. The length allows it to be fitting for the office and the adjusted cut defines delicately the silhouette for a feminine touch. The electric blue gives it edge that is softened just enough by the lace fabric. To stay in the professional look, I think pointed toe pumps to be the refined choice. When you look from the waist down, this outfit is very classy. But, when you look at the top part, it’s the total opposite! The “Los Angeles” tee is simple and laidback and the crop top carefree. The duality of the styles makes this attire much more exciting! And, I found the houndstooth design of the shoes and the black leather crystalstudded clutch interesting accessories to link both styles. Don’t you think?
I would love to have your comments on this look!
