This weekend I was in Toronto for my dearest and precious friend C's wedding! We were over 70 people coming from Montreal to attend the festivities and we had a blast! The friends and family members that cherish him were all there and ready to celebrate the beginning of this beautiful chapter of his life! We were all staying at the same hotel which meant never ending evenings and an overall crazy blissful weekend :) What you need to know about C is that I have known him for over 15 years now and he is like a brother to me! He truly is my brother from another mother! He’s the type of guy that shows up in a second at 2 o’clock in the morning to help me with a flat tire! His friendship is priceless so you imagine how big my heart was the day of his wedding :) To see him so happy, taking the dance floor by storm when he's usually the shy type and enjoying every second of his special day was all I needed to have an amazing and wonderful weekend! It’s been a while since I’ve danced and enjoyed myself so much :)
Because it was such a close friend’s wedding, I wanted to wear a long dress! I felt that it would be ideal for a big event like this one. The outfit I chose was pretty simple but with a twist! Just the way I like it ;) What I love the most about this gown are the contrasting elements that make it particularly seductive! Its full coverage with the floor length, the long sleeves, the scoop neckline and the closed back leave a lot to the imagination, which I believe to be tremendously hot! You don’t have to be wearing revealing clothes to be or feel confident and sexy! But, the super thigh high slit is definitely the “pièce de résistance”! Every step you take showcases the longest part of your legs, which is very flattering! To keep the emphasis on that statement piece, I opted for minimal jewelry: a choker, bangles and rings. That’s it! I got the golden necklace from Jane& Rye, a hand-made Montreal-based accessory line that I recently discovered and fell in love with! I liked how their funky choker complimented the edgy shoulder pads, creating a rocker look ;) Then, I chose chunky bangles on one hand and delicate chain rings and hand bracelet on the other for some shine. Staying in the golden tones, I decided on simple strappy sandals to elongate the legs and a metallic vintage clutch for a classy touch! How do you find this dress? Would you dare the slit?
