It happened! My system has officially shut down! The last month has been quite hectic! After crazy busy hours at work, multitude of events surrounding the Holiday season, organizing two major events, taking time for friends and maintaining a regular fitness regimen, my body decided to put the switch on Off! Whether I like it or not :( I believe I can do it all and with little sleep. Why? Because I’ve been doing it for years and it has always worked! Until I get sick… Then I rest for a few days… And I start again… I have a problem! I am going to start by admitting it! Like a lot of professional women of my generation, I think I am bionic! We are passionate about too many things and don't have enough hours in the day to fulfill them all! Fortunately, our body is there to remind us that we are not! I have been sick like a dog for the past week. I am feverish when I am not on medication, I have headaches and nausea because of the non-stop coughing, which has been a great workout for my abs though ;) , I can barely train and mostly I don’t feel like my usual self… Knowing that I need to stop and rest is tough for me… I don’t have time for this! But… I do! I have been boosting that system of mine with all the ginger, lemon, vitamin C, ginseng and healthy food I can find! And, a little bit of chocolate for my mental health :) Never underestimate the power of that sweet piece of heaven! So, I am forcing myself to stay home and rest this weekend! That way, next week I will back in full force! And I promise (this is more a promise to myself) to take it easy as much as I can... for as long as I can (I am being realistic here)!
In the mean time, here is one of my favourite recent looks. I call it “Army Chic”! It made feel like a total "badass" (which I am so not!) with a feminine twist (a must if you know me)! I love the khaki oversized coat with its different textures and golden details. I felt its rough vibe needed a bit of softening, which explains the monochrome outfit under. A body hugging dark grey skirt and a black turtleneck and thighs were the way to go. Simple and sleek. Opted for light neutral accessories to brighten up the look. My favourite piece is definitely the Mackage crossbody bag! Not only for the quality of the leather but also for the refined and pure design! Even though I could pair this style with cool loafers, I chose the high heeled platform booties because of their sharp and “don’t mess with me” look :) Ready to attack! Hihihi!
Going back to my green juice now! Cheers to the weekend!
