Ever since I’ve been back from vacation, I’ve been living at a crazy pace, with tons of projects to deal with! The poor hamster in my head is exhausted from running at 100 mph! Aside from work and my regular busy life, the past few weeks have been about condos and cars! My condo has been on sale, which meant a lot of visits to prepare for but also new condo searches and visits to do! Tranquility? Who wants that? It’s a busy and vibrant neighbourhood I am looking for ;) Which is why I am looking forward to moving to the Griffintown/Old Port area of Montreal this summer. Right in the middle of the action! Just the way I like it :) So as you can imagine, I have been on a hunt for the best condo out there, spending countless hours on apps and sites trying to find it. Believe me when I say hours! You think it doesn’t take that long until you realize it’s 3h00 am and catch yourself still browsing! And recently, I started visiting a few… I will keep you posted on my search :) It's a tough one! Aside from the hunt for the perfect condo, I have been shopping for a new car. Why? Because it’s time for a change! So, I have been checking out different models, visiting several dealers and actually just made my final choice yesterday! Yay! The new baby will be delivered next week! I’m excited about the changes ahead! There is something about new beginnings that is thrilling and I seem to always be looking for that! After all, isn’t that what life is all about… A series of interesting projects!
Today, I am posting a look that is simple to pull off and perfect as a transition one from a workday to an evening out. I find it showcases how much an accessory and just a single piece can totally change a look. I was actually wearing the black leggings and turtleneck to work with loafers. Some might be surprised, but I never wear heels at work! Comfort and productivity are a priority when I run around all day. These black items are the ideal base to wear if you plan on going out after work, for happy hour or a dinner date for example. I just swapped the loafers for over-the-knee boots, creating an elongated frame and curvier silhouette. Then, simply added on two extra pieces: a statement necklace and a faux-fur vest. That’s all it takes to switch to a killer look and witness your fierce attitude come out :) I especially like the antique necklace for the mix of rough gold and silver metals with the soft rhinestones. The vest with its length and fluffy fur can be very overwhelming, which is why it requires a subtle base. The slick black outfit serves as a canvas, bringing the focus on the “piece de resistance”. As easy as that! Sometimes you just have to get that one special piece and work it in the simplest way.
Wishing you all a great weekend!
